Protocol Review Specialist

If you are experienced Medical Technologist with background in clinical research and the know-how of determining the type of clinical test that can be supported within a developing test menu, learn how you can assist the Global Scientific Affairs (SA) team and all ICON Laboratory Services (ILS) departments in the day to day support of scientific and technical information to manage global clinical studies.

About the Protocol Review Specialist role within ICON: 

The Protocol Review Specialist will provide support from the beginning of the pre-award with the Proposals and Business Development group and follows with support for all technical/scientific aspects post- award of the clinical study.  When required the Protocol Review Specialist will request clarification of tests and follow-up with post-award issues that move from the initial pre-protocol review through to Scientific Affairs to close the loop for the full Global SA processes; including contacting referral labs and Global Validation as necessary

The Protocol Review Specialist will review proposals and protocols for tests that are required and for technical information for any new tests to be added to the ILS test menu or for referral lab testing with Scientific Areas and other relevant departments. 

Clinical Study Technical Review meetings with the Global Labs and Project Management groups will be led by the Protocol Review Specialist.

You will possess a BS Degree in Medical Technology along minimum of 10 years relevant experience, with one or more years of experience working in a clinical laboratory, clinical trials, project management, customer management or account management role.
