MAPI plays a key role in supporting the digital implementation of the Clinical Outcomes Assessments it manages on behalf of its authors for both Sponsors and eCOA Vendors. Pushing forward its digitization solution will enable MAPI to stay ahead of competitors and bring value add to the authors it requires for business. A senior manager role is required to bring together the different digitization services in MAPI and create and implement a co-ordinated strategy.
Mapi Research Trust (MRT) is an independent non-profit organization specialized in Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) information. We collect, store, analyze and distribute information to the entire scientific community. We exclusively distribute 670+ COAs on behalf of authors and are the most trusted name in eCOA distribution.
As part of MAPIs service to Sponsor's and Authors, we provide extensive support and guidance in relation to electronic implementation of COAs to a digital format.
We are looking for a Senior Manager of MAPI Digital to lead our MAPI digital team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage groups who support digitization of COAs to an electronic format within MAPI
- Drive to completion strategic initiatives to support MAPI digital goals and objectives
- Work closely with eCOA platform providers and Sponsors in relation to MAPI digital service and ongoing initiatives
- Be a point of contact for clients in relation to MAPI Digital activities
- Manage and report on revenue, team capacity, and forecast
- Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which center around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance
- As a Manager, the employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.

- Actively supports the growth and integration of service areas with PCS
- Maintains responsibility, in partnership with other management staff, for performance measures such as forecast, proactive risk assessment, quality, staff engagement and retention and other metrics
- Maintains acute awareness of the pharma / biotech / medical device industry landscape as it relates to department specific service-related trends and challenges and guides awareness for junior staff
- Demonstrates awareness and understanding of strategic goals/priorities and focuses people on the most important organizational priorities
- Ensures the development, communication, and execution of functional processes in a manner consistent with the framework of the department
- Responsible for the human resource management activities including maintenance of proper staffing levels, resource optimization, attainment of individual and team goals, employee relations, mentoring, talent/career development, and rewards/recognition based on achievement of goals
- Ensures resources are shared dynamically to meet the demands (internal and external) of specific areas within the department Leads, inspires and ensures appropriate ownership and accountability in a global, often virtual, environment
- Proactively and independently expands knowledge base on constantly evolving industry-related trends, news and best practices
- Continually cultivates, develops and maintains positive business relationships with other functional teams and departments within ICON
Functional
- Represents department at internal and external meetings and strategy review presentations/overviews, as appropriate
- Proactively communicates department objectives and results with clients, leadership team and all functional partners
- Proactively participates in new business opportunities as needed and leads the organization to meet changing client needs
- Develops staff through training and coaching opportunities and by creating and maintaining methodologies, tools, training manuals, and checklists to improve the department’s processes and overall business organization
- Facilitates identification and resolution of issues; aides in the development of CAPA responses as-needed
- Such other duties and tasks as are allocated to you at the reasonable discretion of the Company
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant SOPs, policies and procedures
Key Requirements
- At least 5 years experience in line management within an eCOA or eClinical environment
- Proven ability to build high performing teams
- Proven ability to drive to completion strategic initiatives to support an organization's goals with an eCOA/eClinical setting
- Process-driven and strong attention to detail with superior organizational skills
- Excellent customer interaction and communication skills with proven ability to communicate clearly with clients and resolve customer challenges
- Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders
