Role: Senior Marketing Manager, Biotech

The role:
In this position, you will join a growing marketing team with responsibility for establishing and implementing strategic and tactical marketing and communication plans designed to capitalize on market opportunities and generate demand.
Working with internal and external resources, this individual will deliver multi-channel marketing programs that build brand awareness, provide a steady flow of sales leads, and measure the return on marketing investments.
ICON offers a flexible partnership model for biotechs, acting as a fully externalised project development team to confront challenges and facilitate integrated solutions along the development cycle.
We help emerging biotechs meet their milestones to market, and deliver data and evidence based results to their investors, large pharma partners, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Participate in service business unit leadership team meetings to understand business challenges and priorities
Work with service business unit management and subject matter experts to develop a comprehensive marketing plan aligned to strategic objectives and business unit plans
Work with subject matter experts to coordinate the creation of thought leadership publications, positioning messaging and content, and sales support collateral, for use in lead generation and brand development
Define market segmentation, targeting and positioning for various services
Implement marketing plan with assistance of internal marketing operations and external agencies
Execute integrated (digital-centric) campaigns to generate demand & sales leads
Manage the creation of marketing collateral and sales support tools across all stages of the customer buying journey
Be accountable for measuring and reporting on campaign performance & ROI
Responsible for: Reputation > Relationships > Revenue
Collaborate with Market Program Managers for events, conferences and tradeshows
Collaborate with Business Development and Global Key Account Directors to support their efforts to achieve sales targets
Maintain knowledge of marketing trends, development and best practices
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Life Sciences
Minimum of 5 years' marketing experience with proven track record of success in marketing management role, strong understanding of marketing for professional services
Excellent communication skills
Experience using CRM required
CRO/pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but not required
Exceptional knowledge of marketing strategies, concepts and practices in a business to business environment
Strong project management and performance measurement skills
Ability to develop strong relationships and work with senior level executives
Ability to combine and analyze performance data to develop metrics that support decision-making for resource allocation and campaign refinement
Solid business acumen, management and problem-solving skills
IT literacy, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
