The Senior Project Manager you will work closely with the client and provide day-to-day management of assigned projects. As a trusted partner, you will attend client meetings and provide project updates.
- Acts as point of contact for projects related to clients’s infrastructure and capability build out manufactuing, supply chain management, quality management systems (GMP, GLP, SCM, GCP) and operations support.
- Track and manage budget and timelines for assigned client projects.
- Follow up and respond to project inquiries from client or Icon Team.
- Support vendor selection and management.
- Establish proper guidelines for communication at project genesis and develop escalation plans.
- Adhere to project specific guidelines.
- Ensure all appropriate documents are properly maintained and archived.
- Provide project reports and updates.
- Monitor budget for assigned projects.
- Establish project plan and track progress and timeline.
- Attend and represent ICON Meetings, Kick-Off Meeting, Bid Defenses or Initiations.
- Develop new tools, train new employees.
- Performs additional relevant responsibilities as requested by management or client.
- Previous experience working in a start-up or biotech would be ideal.
- 3+ years’ work experience working in a project management capacity in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, managing budgets and timelines.
- Have a Degree in a Life Sciences or related discipline.
- 3+ years’ experience with pharmaceutical/biologics manufacturing and quality management systems.
- Knowledge of the vendor selection process.
- Customer focused with the ability to build excellent rapport with business partners.
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Microsoft Project or similar applications.
- Comfortable with presenting to groups.
- Experience in attending Bid Defenses.
- Organized and remains calm in taking care of multiple priorities and working to tight deadlines.
- Passionate about developing a career within Project Management.
- Possible domestic travel (approximately 5-10%} domestic.
- Ability and willingness to work in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work across multiple organizations and departments.
