The Reward/Stock Plan Analyst will ensure that stock programs run smoothly and are maintained in compliance with company and legal requirements. The position is responsible for all aspects of plan administration in conjunction with our stock plan administration partner, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, and for ensuring that all accounting rules are complied with, disclosures in financial statements are accurate, and that close period calendars are communicated and adhered to. The Reward/Stock Plan Analyst will provide support and analysis for process improvements, projects and education initiatives, both equity related and general reward. *LI-MB1
While the role is will predominantly support ICON’s Stock Plan management, the opportunity will also be there to work on other International compensation and benefit projects; were capacity allows.
CONTEXT:
- ICON’s reward frameworks are key enablers of individual, team and company performance and support ICON’s strategic pillars through effective attraction, retention, motivation and recognition of the company’s human resources.
- The Global Performance & Reward team is a centre of excellence (COE) within the HR function with accountability for reward governance and compliance and the development and management of our reward frameworks globally.
- This role sits within the Global Performance & Reward Team that will be accountable for delivering solutions and services through effective partnering with the Performance and Reward team, Regional HR Service Centre and other internal functions such as Finance and Legal, and external partners.
- The role holder will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of robust stock plan administration processes and clear communications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain MSSB stock plan database integrity and ensure accuracy of recordkeeping of equity data
- Develop and maintain stock plan processes including stock grants, exercises, replenishment, lapses, and reporting of payroll and taxes (including Restricted Stock Units, Performance Share Units and Stock Options)
- Ensure robust checks and balances for all plan activities are in place and maintained
- Interpret and understand legal documents such as security and tax regulations and government legislation with a view to developing practical solutions to maintain ICON’s reputation and compliance
- Develop strong working relationships with external and internal partners
- Work closely with the internal legal team to manage executive stock transactions and ensure appropriate approvals are in place
- Prepare employee communications relating to stock plans a processes
- Maintain stock process documentation to ensure internal compliance and interface with external/internal auditors as required
- Develop and maintain equity plan metrics to support strategy execution including tracking shares available for grant, burn rate etc.
- Position the HR Service Centre to respond to employee inquiries and where necessary coordinate with internal teams and vendors as appropriate to resolve issues
- Perform other related duties related to the stock administration and reward.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in private or public company stock administration
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills coupled with strong experience and skills in the area of finance & accounting
- Exceptionally resourceful, detail and customer-service oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
- Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams, including Legal, HR, Tax, Payroll, Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Experience working with different types of Equity Plans in both private and public companies is ideal (and willing to learn more)
- Experience working with a third party recordkeeping system, particularly MSSB Sapphire, a distinct advantage
- Strong organization, planning and problem solving skills with the ability to track multiple tasks and issues
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal relationship and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking skills and discipline to deliver complete and accurate results
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements
