ICON Government and Public Health Solutions (IGP) is a full-service CRO specializing in preclinical through phase IV support of clinical research and clinical trial services for biologics, drugs, and devices. We help our customers get their products to market faster with an array of research, regulatory, and sponsor services. Globally, we respond rapidly to health crises and serve where few others do. We create a unique synergy in the global market, with projects spanning the government, academic, and commercial sectors. ICON Government and Public Health Solutions has a distinct ability to provide rapid response efforts to global health crises.

 

IGP is recruiting for a Study Coordinator to support research and operational health studies that have the goal of improving readiness, combat effectiveness, and soldier health. In this role, the Study Coordinator will work within the Department of Epidemiology. Their research is directed toward a wide spectrum of public health issues affecting military readiness and national security. Tasks may require acquiring data from multiple military sources, entering, cleaning and merging data to create an analytic dataset, performing statistical analyses, generating results, and preparing reports and presentations.

 

**The RFP is expected to release in the Fall with an expected start date in January 2023**


Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Assist on multiple tasks with the analysis of information requirements.
  • Aid in the evaluation of problems with workflow, organization, and planning and help develop appropriate analytical approaches.
  • Maintain multiple protocol books and chronicle manuscript preparation. 
  • Assist with epidemiologic analyses of computerized datasets using standard packages to import, update, and manipulate datasets. 
  • Perform literature searches and reviews, referencing, editing, and formatting reports and manuscripts.

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen 

Clearance: NACI clearance required, but may be required to attain Secret level clearance

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Years’ experience: One to two years of experience in a scientific or laboratory setting

  • Strong computer skills in using SAS, Stata, Epi-info, Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work successfully in cross functional teams in an organized, fast-paced environment while meeting time sensitive deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in epidemiologic study design and execution

Additional Information:

  • Onsite at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Silver Spring, MD
