ICON Government and Public Health Solutions (IGP) is a full-service CRO specializing in preclinical through phase IV support of clinical research and clinical trial services for biologics, drugs, and devices. We help our customers get their products to market faster with an array of research, regulatory, and sponsor services. Globally, we respond rapidly to health crises and serve where few others do. We create a unique synergy in the global market, with projects spanning the government, academic, and commercial sectors. ICON Government and Public Health Solutions has a distinct ability to provide rapid response efforts to global health crises.
IGP is currently seeking a Travel Manager to support the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA).
Responsibilities/Duties include, but not limited to:
- Management of all travel requested by USG of Contractor staff
- Provide routine training and guidance to all Contractor staff on the rules and procedures when traveling on behalf of USG
- Process all travel requests in accordance with the terms of this contract and ASPR and BARDA travel procedures
- Track all travel at all levels for reporting
- Make every effort to maximize cost savings for all travel executed on behalf of USG
- OTM must have relevant experience managing high volume and complex Contractor travel on behalf of USG for both CONUS and OCONUS travel. This includes building and maintaining efficient systems that allow for transparent processing of all required travel justification documents and approvals required in advance of any travel.
- The OTM is also responsible for performing quality control over all travel requests submitted to the COR and CO/CS ensuring the package is complete and accurate to avoid days in review and approvals. This includes confirmation that all estimated and known travel costs are accurate, reasonable, and within the terms of this contract and travel regulations.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
- Clearance: Ability to obtain Public Trust
- Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Business Management, or related fields
- Years’ experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing travel on Federal contracts
- Skills: Extensive knowledge and experience in Federal travel regulations
