At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for a Clinical Sample Processor to join the team in our Leopardstown, Dublin 18 location.

This role will be on a Tuesday - Saturday shift and will cover the Laboratory core opening hours of 7am-7pm.

The Clinical Sample Processing team play a crucial part in ICON's Laboratory. This is a fast paced environment where eye for detail is critical. You will play a key role in servicing our Laboratory.

The Role

• Responsible for data entry of patient's demographics into the computer system. Documents and researches any problems with received specimens including off line order entry.
• Adheres to OSHA and the Company's Health and Safety regulations and security procedures at all times. Understands the principles of accreditation and QA procedures
• Store in samples based on protocol specifications, as well as accountability for storage samples
• Quality checking of accession forms, scanning of paperwork into database. Archiving visit documentation
• Bar code labelling and validation of specimens and transport of specimens to the technicians in the laboratory to be analyzed
• Accepts and documents sample deliveries from couriers. Unpacks packages, receives shipments into database
• Facilitate removal and collection of all hazardous waste from laboratory
• Escalating any problems to senior members of the team
• Additional responsibilities as requested by management of Sample Management

What you will need:

• Degree qualified, preferably within a Science field, although not essential
• Experience working in a fast paced environment
• Good Excel and PC skills
