The Portfolio Management team within the Global Development department is driving an important business impact throughout the organization and ensuring Janssen clinical trials are diverse and inclusive of participants who are typically underrepresented in clinical trials or from underserved communities.
In partnership with other functions in Global Development and within multiple TAs, services include leading the activities to identify and develop process changes required that will enable an increased participation of under-represented populations in Janssen clinical trials. The person providing these services will be part of a passionate team that strives to change internal culture and behaviors to strengthen our understanding of disease disparities, the effects on diverse populations and the importance of inclusion in clinical trials.
DICT Clinical Operations – IMM
What you will be doing:
- Services rendered will adhere to applicable Johnson & Johnson SOPs, WIs, policies, local regulatory requirements, ICH-GCP, etc.
- Support the Director, DEICT in the development and execution of DEI strategies to increase awareness and participation among internal and external stakeholders in the IMM trial portfolio
- Function as a dedicated DEI subject-matter expert and partner to study teams to support the development and implementation of robust Diversity Plans aligned with FDA guidance.
- Maintain DEICT metrics tracking and support socialization of the DEICT dashboard across study teams to track progress of diversity plan implementation.
- Lead internal engagement activities to promote a deeper understanding of and commitment to DICT within the organization
- Support clinical and operational teams with early assessments of disparities, disease state, etc. to inform diversity plan strategies, goal setting, and best practices with underserved communities
You are:
- PREFERRED: Experience in clinical operations, drug development, data analytics, and immunology.
- PLUS: Experience is a patient engagement / patient recruitment role / DEI support
- University/college degree in a scientific discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of pharmaceutical industry or healthcare experience.
- Strong understanding and experience in creating new or improved customer (Patient / Investigator / User) experiences.
- Experience of successfully working a heavily matrixed organization.
- Able to lead and influence without direct authority.
- Comfortable with autonomy. Deals well with shaping direction in a new area with limited guidance.
- Challenges status quo. Understands and where needed adapts to different cultures and markets.
- Thinks in a structured way – Is able to set priorities across a multitude of opportunities based on business analysis and customer research, and to craft a structured approach to drive execution.
- Strong analytical skills and solid business acumen
- Excellent communication and presentation skills required.
- Exceptional networker. Connects easily and broadly across the organization and across countries.
- Effective in working in a virtual global organization.
