Manager, Internal Audit
 
Location: Dublin
Are you ready for a new challenge? Looking to make a big impression in a creative, innovative and dynamic environment whilst driving results through your team? Our internal audit team are recruiting for a People Manger. Partnering with our VP Internal Audit, the ideal candidate will help drive the continued development of the Internal Audit department, manage and execute audit assignments, build and maintain relationships with key ICON contacts whilst managing a team of internal auditors simultaneously.
 
Role responsibilities include:
·         Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which centres around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.
·         As a Manager, the employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
·         Develop and agree the annual audit plan for both the SOX and risk based audit programmes.
·         Deliver the annual audit plan by managing and executing audits including taking responsibility for the efficient execution of these audits, including audit logistics.
·         Perform detailed testing where required.
·         Act as a key contact into Internal Audit and act as ambassador for the department - taking part in and lead other projects as they arise.
·         Conduct ongoing internal and external communication and management of audit scheduling and staffing.
·         Travel (up to 30%) international
 
Supervision
·         Provide leadership, direction and development opportunities to team of professional auditors

Required:
·                     Qualified Chartered Accountant (Preferably Big 4), with an expected minimum of 5 years post      qualification experience, at least two of which were at manager level in a similar/comparable role
  • Must be an excellent team player and provide leadership and support to team members and ICON colleagues
 
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to deliver on multiple projects and an overall programme of work
 
  • A commitment to excellence through continuous process improvement, developing strong relationships with ICON partners and collleagues and adherence to the highest standards of ethics and integrity
 
Desirable
·         Knowledge of CRO / Pharma industry
·         Internal Audit experience
·         Sarbanes Oxley experience
·         Other multinational PLC experience

 
Education Requirements:
·         Bachelor’s Degree or local equivalent, in accounting, finance, business or related discipline.
·         A professional accounting qualification preferred (ACA)
