About the Project Manager role within ICON: 

Our Senior Clinical Project Managers play a key role within ICON and are responsible for the overall coordination, implementation and completion of regional/global cross-functional projects including consistency with ICON SOPs, study contracts and budgets.  

The Senior Clinical Project Manager will be the primary point of contact for designated projects, responsible for: delivering successful working relationships with clients, cross functional project planning, scheduling and implementation, defining project scope, resource requirements and deliverables, risk migration strategies, associated action plan and issue resolution. Managing the cross functional project team ensuring all necessary project training is provided and developing a succession plan for the core team members.

Also, in the event of changes to the team, ensuring an effective hand-over. managing projects in accordance with the contract including: managing any study budget, study invoicing procedures, monitoring and reporting on progress of projects to stakeholders and implementing QC activities as necessary. Collaborating with Business Development to ensure timely completion of change orders.

We are seeking associates with a desire to travel approximately 25% both regionally and nationally.

To succeed you will need:

A Bachelor’s degree in the life sciences will ensure your familiarity with regulatory guidelines and clinical terminology. A minimum four years of strong Project Management experience in pharmaceutical/clinical research is necessary will ensure your success on our team.
