We are currently seeking a Business Analyst II to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Business Analyst II at ICON, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our requirements management systems and processes. Your responsibilities encompass managing the requirements database, overseeing tools and systems, and providing valuable insights to ICON teams.

What You Will Be Doing:

A Business Analyst II typically supports project execution and business analysis, often with a focus on gathering requirements, conducting analysis, and ensuring successful project delivery. Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into functional specifications, and contribute to the overall project lifecycle. Their responsibilities include conducting stakeholder workshops, documenting requirements, supporting process improvements, and performing system testing. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering: Facilitating workshops, eliciting, and documenting business requirements, and translating them into functional specifications. 
  • System Analysis: Analyzing existing systems, identifying gaps, and proposing solutions to meet business needs. 
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining various documents, including user stories, functional specifications, and test scripts. 
  • Testing Support: Supporting system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensuring the quality of deliverables. 
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborating with business and technical teams, communicating effectively, and managing stakeholder expectations. 
  • Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process optimization and contributing to process improvements. 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze complex business problems and propose effective solutions. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum): Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment, including sprint planning and user story development. 
  • Knowledge of SDLC and STLC: Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle. 
  • Familiarity with relevant tools and technologies: Depending on the specific role, this may include tools for requirements management, testing, and project management. 
  • Experience in the relevant industry: Experience in areas like Healthcare and Life Science, can be highly valuable

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent
  • A demonstrable experience in producing high quality and detailed written documents. This could be within a professional or academic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, including time management, ability to multi-task and prioritize workload (against continuous deadlines and new assignments).
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, developing relationships throughout ICON functions, obtaining relevant information for responses and documentation.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with various ICON teams.
