Clinical Outcome Technology Project Manager

ICON’s Electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment (eCOA) practice is a market leader in electronic observational measure development and validation. Our Clinical Outcome Technology team combines opinion-leading scientific expertise and knowledge of marketplace and regulatory landscapes with consultancy skills and understanding of client needs.
 
We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager, based out of the North Whales, PA, Raleigh, NC, or London, UK. Home-based may be approved.  The Project Manager supports their assigned department or functional team through the independent management of assigned projects and tasks. The Project Manager works closely with other members of the project team, client, clinical/scientific teams, and internal and external clients and vendors for successful project execution. The Project Manager supports the development and training of more junior staff. The Project Manager has a firm grasp on the process and deliverables of their functional team and actively contributes to process improvements.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate drive, passion and a strong sense of team working, along with a desire to progress within our organization. You will have at least 4 years of experience in Outcomes Research or eClinical/Clinical field or related services/industry. Successful candidates will also possess great communication skills and be comfortable managing a variety of tasks at one time. For the eCOA practice area:
 
·         Assumes responsibility for planning, execution, financial and timeline management of multifunctional projects with varying complexity while adhering to SOPs and performance metric standards
·         Independently selects and manages external and internal resources on assigned projects or tasks
·         Independently makes pivotal project decisions and communicates the decisions to the client.
·         Owns all project tracking data and is responsible for regular upkeep and accuracy of the data
·         Oversees decision-making of project analysts.
·         Anticipates and responds to client and/or project needs with limited or no guidance
·         Anticipates key project risks.  Proactively develops and executes mitigating strategies effectively as required.
·         Involved with client communication, and may be primary point of contact with client.
·         Efficiently delegates and communicates with project team, and ensures proper staffing and oversight on projects. 
·         Understands the project scope.  Identifies scope creep on and develops/executes resolution plan.
·         Supports the preparation of proposal documents and budget. 
·         Identifies and solves project issues, identifies causes and performs corrective/preventative action
·         Leads project meetings and the resolution of issues, project recaps and corrective/preventative action plans
·         Relevant training in system development lifecycle methodology, eCOA modality technology, and other disciplines relevant to eCOA system design, such as statistics, economics and validation of clinical data gathering instruments required
·         High proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
·         Training in GCP and other regulations and official Guidance to Industry affecting conduct of clinical trials and implementation of information systems supporting clinical trials, preferred
