What will you be doing?
As a Mandarin- Speaking Director of Project Delivery (DPD) within our Biotech Division, you’re no stranger to lengthy to-do lists, but we’ve broken the DPD role down to three main functions.
Business Development
You use your expertise to improve delivery, profitability, quality, and client satisfaction. You do this by taking a hands-on approach with your team and scope. You do what it takes to gain business, retain business, and mitigate risks.
Leadership
You don’t just manage, you mentor. You raise up the next generation of talent within ICON. You set your team up for success. You relay strategies to your team that will maintain profitability and client satisfaction.
Innovation
You identify opportunities to improve the Project Management Group. You collaborate with your peers and leaders to define, develop, and implement improvements both locally and globally.
What do you need to have?
Extensive cross-functional project management experience, including full-scope project deliverables, financial management, regulatory compliance (ICH-GCP), project scheduling, and resource management, required
Typically, 15+ years of relevant experience, required
Demonstrated experience in leading teams through process and system development, review, and implementation
Experienced mentor
Project Management experience in a CRO environment, required
Project Management experience within a sponsor environment, preferred
Undergraduate degree in health sciences from an accredited institution or international equivalent degree, required.
An advanced degree (M.S., Ph.D., M.D.), preferred
Business related course work (management, marketing, accounting, budgets, personnel management, negotiation skills, etc.), preferred.
English fluency (ability to read, write, speak), required
Candidates MUST be fluent in Mandarin, Chinese.
Travel of up to 25% is required for this position. Exact amounts of travel will vary, pending client needs.
To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.
Description du poste de directeur international de livraison de projets
Développe et maintient les relations avec les clients afin de garantir la continuité des activités commerciales avec les clients, les projets et/ou les portefeuilles attribués en réussissant la livraison des projets dans les délais prévus avec des données de qualité, tout en maintenant la rentabilité.
Principales responsabilités
Livre les projets à temps en respectant le budget, les attentes des clients et les normes de qualité appropriées. S’assure que l’équipe du projet a mis en place des stratégies pertinentes pour maintenir la rentabilité des soumissions.
Établit et maintient de solides relations avec les clients qui lui ont été attribués et siège aux comités de surveillance et d’exploitation.
Met en œuvre la stratégie opérationnelle pour les nouvelles soumissions et les réunions de débat des soumissions.
Assure la mise en place d’une stratégie appropriée pour l’allocation des ressources en gestion de projet afin d’atteindre les objectifs de l’entreprise pour les projets nouveaux et ceux en cours.
Participe à l’élaboration, la mise en place et la concrétisation des stratégies, des initiatives et des objectifs de l’entreprise et de la livraison des projets.

Supervise et assure le rendement maximal de l’équipe du projet en matière de planification, exécution et gestion des risques.
Organise des réunions de manière régulière avec les clients pour examiner et discuter des risques, de l’état et des possibilités d’améliorer la livraison, la rentabilité, la qualité et la satisfaction du client.
Soutient le développement des activités de l’entreprise avec les clients nouveaux et existants en identifiant les occasions potentielles avec les clients nouveaux et existants.
Forme et encadre le personnel et lui fournit une rétroaction sur son rendement.
Bonne connaissance des politiques et procédures applicables, des procédures d’exploitation normalisées, des instructions de travail et des autres documents de référence
Solide connaissance de la gestion interfonctionnelle des projets et des systèmes de l’entreprise
Solide connaissance des processus et systèmes financiers de l’entreprise et de leur utilisation
Excellentes compétences en communication orale et écrite
Solides compétences en leadership
Compétences avancées en relations interpersonnelles, en collaboration et en gestion du temps
Capacité à valider avec précision le travail et la stratégie d’allocation des ressources des projets
Capacité à représenter la livraison des projets dans des activités/initiatives interfonctionnelles
Les problèmes sont nouveaux et non récurrents. La définition des problèmes nécessite des renseignements en provenance de plusieurs ressources, internes et externes. Leur résolution requiert une pensée créative et un jugement critique pour proposer de nouvelles solutions et de nouveaux concepts. Les solutions requièrent souvent des ressources extérieures à l’organisation pour obtenir des données, des conseils, etc. Le/la candidat(e) pourrait être en mesure d’élaborer des façons entièrement nouvelles de mener des opérations.
Adapte le style et fait preuve de persuasion pour la transmission des messages. Élabore des recommandations pour vendre des idées ou des services. Conseille souvent les autres sur des sujets complexes.
Transforme une vision en objectifs stratégiques. Définit le futur plan d’action pour le domaine fonctionnel. L’impact est sur les objectifs à moyen et long terme.
Le travail est habituellement effectué dans un environnement de bureau, en utilisant des mouvements musculaires simples et faciles, impliquant uniquement la manipulation de matériaux, d’outils ou d’équipements légers dans des positions de travail aisées, et sans exiger une vitesse particulière ou de longues périodes d’effort. Déplacements occasionnels au besoin : environ 20 %.
