Organisational Design Lead

4 month assignment with an immediate start

Based in Leopardstown, Ireland, or Marlow, UK

 

 

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment for a leading global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. It is a very exciting time in the HR team within ICONplc, whilst we commence a time of scoping and implementing significant change for how we deliver our HR Services globally to all our 10,000 employees. 

 

Overview of the role

 

The Organisational Design Lead aims to understand Workday and the impacts Workday will have on downstream systems and on a series of roles in the organisation, especially in HR, IT and on ICON managers and employees. The main responsibilities of the OD Lead are to understand the impact the Project has on roles and to redesign the organisational structure as appropriate.

The Organisational Design Lead will review current roles, define new ones (including job description amendments as necessary), identify the scale/nature of impact; facilitate and document the role alignment exercise by functions.

This role will partner closely with the broader project teams and leaders from across the organisation – including change and product management, professional services, stakeholders and more - that are responsible for implementing the change.

 

Role Requirements

 

You will have strong skills and knowledge gained from previous related positions and projects which offer a blend of:

 

·         Several years’ experience of all aspects of organisation design in complex, large scale transformation programmes' with experience in change management, technology implementation or in a related field

·         Experience in Workday or other HCM implementation projects is considered an advantage

·         Able to identify opportunities to strengthen and enhance a company's structure

·         Demonstrates resourcefulness and strong analytical skills

·         Exceptional organising and planning skills with a proven track record in coordinating organisational development and/or change programs

·         Problem solving and root cause identification skills. Acute business acumen and understanding of organisational issues and challenges.

·         Strong persuasive, consultative and relationship management skills

·         Demonstrated track record of effective communication with technical and business leaders at all levels.

·         Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal. Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others

·         Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations. Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere

·         Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
