JOB TITLE: Programmer Analyst II
REPORTS TO: Technical Operations Manager or designee
 
SECTION 1: POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the programming of Technical Operation software
 
SECTION 2: JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program IVRS/IWRS and other software applications at moderate levels of complexity as designed in a timely manner in adherence with ICON SOPs and appropriate project specifications.
  • Participate in functional and/or technical discussions with project team.
  • Keep project team informed of project status in relation to quality and timelines.
  • Ability to thoroughly review design specifications and/or user requirements.
  • Write study installation procedures if applicable.
  • Prepare & perform code review of IVRS/IWRS and other software applications.
  • Perform IVRS/IWRS configurations and related activities if applicable.
  • Ability to thoroughly component test code to minimize the number of programming errors.
  • Write unit tests for software applications if applicable.
  • Write technical specifications if applicable.
  • Assist other programmers with tasks as needed including install procedures, code reviews, component testing, and programming.
  • Ability to complete projects and other tasks efficiently and within the allocated timelines with little or no supervision.
  • Other related responsibilities may be assigned as required by the needs of the department.
  • Travel (approximately 0%) domestic and/or international.
SECTION 3: EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • US/LATAM/CAN: Minimum 3 years application development experience with VB.Net, C#, C, Delphi/Pascal, and/or JAVA.
  • EU/APAC: Prior proven application development experience with VB.Net, C#, C, Delphi/Pascal, and/or JAVA. 
  • US/LATAM/CAN: Minimum 3 years web development experience with ASP, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS and/or Java Script.
  • EU/APAC: Prior proven web development experience with ASP, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS and/or Java Script.
  • US/LATAM/CAN: Minimum 3 years SQL programming experience.
  • EU/APAC: Prior proven SQL programming experience.
  • US/LATAM/CAN: Minimum 3 years object oriented programming experience.
  • EU/APAC: Prior proven object oriented programming experience.
  • Ability to successfully balance multiple projects and timelines.
  • Ability to liaise successfully with other team members.
  • Ability to understand and program a design of moderate levels of complexity.
  • Extensive problem solving and debugging skills.
SECTION 4: EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors degree, or local equivalent, in Computer Science or a related discipline.
