We are currently seeking a Sample Management Coordinator II to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Sample Management Coordinator II at ICON, you will oversee the coordination and management of clinical trial samples, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project protocols. Your role will involve more complex sample management tasks, including troubleshooting and optimizing processes to support the success of clinical research studies.

• Overseeing the receipt, tracking, and storage of clinical trial samples, ensuring adherence to protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Managing the labeling, inventory, and distribution of biological samples, coordinating with laboratories and logistics teams to ensure timely processing and analysis.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of sample handling, including chain of custody and storage conditions, and addressing any discrepancies or issues.
• Providing guidance and training to junior staff or Sample Management Coordinators, ensuring consistency and accuracy in sample management practices.
• Collaborating with project teams, clinical sites, and external partners to optimize sample management processes and resolve any logistical challenges.
• Participating in process improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in sample management.

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, laboratory science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in sample management, logistics, or laboratory coordination, with a focus on clinical trials or similar environments.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex sample handling and tracking tasks.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring or training team members.
• Familiarity with sample management systems, laboratory protocols, and regulatory guidelines, with a demonstrated ability to ensure compliance.
